The Dutch flower market is the world leader in global flower trade, exporting the majority of the world’s cut flowers, playing a major role in the global floral supply chain by serving as a “hub” between growers and consumers by importing, exporting, and re exporting flowers within 24-48 hours of harvest. It is home to Aalsmeer – the largest flower market in the world, covering nearly 200 football fields in size and exporting millions of flowers each day. It is a virtual “flower auction” of every imaginable flower. Upon arrival from the farm, all flowers are checked, graded, and labeled for quality, size, freshness, stem length, and color. Once purchased at auction, the flowers are carefully packed and shipped within 24-48 hours of harvest.

Once the premium blooms arrive at Blossoms of Cape Cod, our expert florists take over to ensure their quality is maintained right up to the moment they reach you. We meticulously clean, cut, and process every stem. Crucially, all flowers are then stored at the ideal temperature and humidity to maximize vase life and freshness in every arrangement we create. This final, careful processing step is our guarantee of quality.
